Tears burned in her neon green eyes as she practically ran into the cemetery. The rain was puring down on her hard but she paid it no attention. Her brown and blue hair dripped and stayed flat against her head. She continued to walk until she saw her parents gravestones. Of course they weren't her rel parents grave stones just ones placed there to explain why they were never around anymore. "Why?" She practically yelled up into the sky. "Why me? Why does their memory haunt me?" She cried and as she finished yelling lightning and thunder struck. She jumped before sitting down on the graves.
The rain was slowly coming to a stop revealing the beautiful night sky filled with stars and souls from the mundane world and the angelic one. She sat there for a long time dripping wet, and not speaking. Katherine had, had a nightmare just before sh ran here. She saw her parents being murdered by the vampires as they cried for help but she was frozen in place.
She woke up sweating and breathing hard. She shook away the memory as she looked up at the sky. "Does love and life really go on?| She asked remembering her parents love. She didn't shiver but she pulled out a match and lit it. She cupped the flame in her hand and lifted it off the match and held it in her hand. She hoped no one had seen her as she warmed herself up. She was unaware of anyone there until she heard footsteps...

cammie leaned back, her tilted face welcoming the cool rain that plopped on it. cammie knew better than to be sitting on top of a tree as it's raining but she didn't care, she was free, no longer grounded. she could do whatever she wanted. just less than a week ago, esme camilla skye was caught folloing around with a fairy and her parents were less than pleased. cammie's defense of the fairy girl seducing her didn't work on her parents but you can't say she didn't try. they grounded her for the week.
watching the rain fall down, cammie swung her legs freely from the top of the tree, feeling as happy as ever when she heard a girl's voice.
"why, why does the memory haunt me!?" cammie looked down and saw a pretty girl around her own age crying by a grave stone. she yelled some more before cammie decided to go down and see what was wrong. standing up on the tree banch, cammie spread her arms and jumped up into the air, flipping into a double somersault, she stuck the landing. she walked towards the girl's direction and brushed her long brown hair out of her small face, the girl looked taller up close, a full 5 inches more but cammie didn't care. she called out to her.
"hi..." she get a small wave, "are you okay?"

Katherine jumped a little when she heard the girl speak. She looedk up to see a girl who looked to be around her age. Katherine didn't know of anyone else at the institute considering she wasn't well liked there. She often got in trouble for lighting things on fire for no reason but she didn't care. "Hi." Katherine said sheepishly as the flame she was holding let itself out. "I don't know if I'm okay or not." And that was the truth. KAtherine wasn't sure if she was okay or if she was on the verge of a mental brake down. Ever since her parents were killed she hadn't been the same. She was sporadic and random and mouthy to anyone who had bossed her around and avoided anyone who didn't talk to her. She had become a whole different person than she had been before. "I'm sorry if I distrubed you..." She said trailing on as tears threatened her eyes again. She scowled and blinked them away. She didn't like people seeing her cry but it didn't even matter anymore

cammie watched as her match got snuffed out. she took a few steps closer to the girl, was she human cammie did not know. she watched as the water slid down the girl's face, leaving a water trail behind it.
"how do you not know if you're okay or not?" cammie gave her a warm smile as she walked closer to her until they were less than a foot apart. she reached her hand out and caressed the girl's face. "you shouldn't cry, you're mascara will smudge and only a few people can pull of the smudged mascara look sweetie."
cammie was someone of a nurturer, she grew up looking after other children. let it be her relatives or the daycare she volunteered at, she cared for people easily, a weakness in her especially when she was at battle. cammie looked up at the girl under her long eyelashes still smiling but worry on her face.
"anything you can tell me?"

Katherine smiled at the girl. Kindness was unusual to Katherine but she would accept it openly. Despite the fact that she smiled her eyes were sad. "I don't know, I guess i'm confused." She said with a sad laugh. She wasn't used to talking to poeple about herself but she guessed now would be a good time to start. "Mascrara smudgeing is the least of my worries at this point. My lifes the definition of hell." She said with a grumble. Her mom was gone her dad was gone her brother was gone and her world was sowly crashing down on her. Hell was just a short summery of how she felt her life really was. "My parents are dead and these are their Mundane Graves." She said opening up a little. Something she didn't do often but she was learning to cope. "My names Katherine, sorry for not introduceing myself."

cammie nodded, her hand still on the girl, who introduced herself as katherine's, face. she recognized the name and when she had caled it their mundie's grave, she knew. they was a story way back about the family that was killed, leaving a girl behind. cammie never thought that she'd meet her but guess it was a small world.
"my name's esme. but you can call me cammie." she usually went by her middle name. it was just a childhood thing that stuck with her over the years. "well, at least the rain's starting to stop, that makes your life a little bit less hellish and a bit more heavenly."
cammie felt her phone vibrating but ignored it. it was probably the bisexual fairy girl again. cammie had to stay away from her or at least be more discreet about it if she didn't want to get grounded again, she shifted her focus back to katherine.
"so what are you so confused about?" she asked, keeping her tone light and airy, the way she always did. cammie never really liked those people who spoke all serious all the time. like, have some fun, lighten up!

Katherine smiled again. Esme was a nice name but she liked Cammie even more. Haveing a person be nice to her and not cringe away was nice for once. But when she kenw the entire story about ehr parents, Cammie might not be so nice. "Cammie's a Pretty Name." Katherine said not midning that Cammie's hand was still on her face. She liked the warmth considering she was freezing at this point. Katherine noticed Cammie's pocket Vibrate but ignored it considering Cammie was in no hurry to answer it. "I think my lifes becomeing a little mroe angelic already." She said trying to smile happily. It was hard but she managed because for once, since her parents died she was happy. "I'm confused about life. where mines going and currently why the heck am I still haveing nightmares." She said trying to shrug it off as no big deal even though she knew it was. Everything was a big deal and she couldn't help but feel small when everything else was so big

cammie smiled her thanks, she did like the name cammie. the rain had almost stopped now and cammie reached into her pocket and pulled out a pack of tissues. they were adorable hello kitty ones she had gotten downtown. she took out a tissue and handed it to katherine.
"nightmares happens." cammie nodded like a child, "have you tried writing them down? maybe you'll get a better understanding of it."
"is there anything i can do? that i can help with?" cammie had heard about her family and well, if that had happened to her, nightmares wouldn't be the only things plaguing her. cammie wanted to help, it was a part of her nature to help whenever possible and with katherine's history, she wanted to do as much as she could.
"is there anywhere i can take you? a relative's?" cammie asked, "we are standing here soaking wet. we'll catch a cold." cammie looked pointly at their clothes, the rain had soaked them and now the night chill was picking up, casuing a small shiver to go down her spine.

Katherine smiled softly again. Cammie was nice and Katherine wasn't being senile for once. "Sometimes I try to write them down but when I read them over I end up getting upset all over again. Nightmares aren't unusual for me but they seem to be picking up the closer I am to something that reminds me of them." She said with a shrug "I don't think anything can help but learning to get over it."she said shakeing her head a little as drops of water fell from the tips of her hair. She didn't enjoy water unless it was hot and right now she was very cold. "I don't have any relatives, I stay at the institute." Katherine said trying to remember the last time she saw any of her relatives. The last time she saw her grandparents was dureing their funeral and her aunts and uncles all died when she was still little. She didn't have anyone, she was all alone in the world.

cammie nodded understandingly, nightmares were a hard thing to revist when all you wanted was to push them aside and out of your mind. cammie herself had had her own share of nightmares over the years but never anything a good hook up couldn't fix. tilting her head to the side, looking at katherine, the darkness had filled up between them and it was getting really late.
"the institute?" she said with a questioning tone, "would you like me to walk back with you?" she gestured to the exit of the cemetery, "it's getting quite late."
in their world, you never know what would be waiting for you in the dark, once night fals, your guard had to be twice as strong especially after the valentine incident, everyone had been a lot more careful, especially the downworlder. her phone vibrated again, and this time, camie excused herself and checked her messages. there were two text messages from her cute fairy but cammie was in no rush to reply back to her, she was begging to meet up but cammie thought katherine needed her more than a horny fairy.

Katherine smiled and stood up. Water dripped down from her clothes as she shivered. She rarely got cold but it had just been pouring and she had forgotten an umbrella. "I would appreciate it if you would wlak me back" she said trying to squeeze the water out of the edge of her shirt. Katherine was used to sleeping all dya and staying up all night but she felt exausted again and didn't feel like spending the entire night in the cemetery.
Katherine watched as Cammie excused herself to answer her text and she almost felt like smiling again. At least one of them had life that didn't completely suck. She felt her own cell phone just sitting in her pocket dry and safe while she was drenched. Her phone was lucky she kept it in a water proof case or else it would be in trouble.
