Vampires and werewolves have never been very fond of each other. No one knows why-- it's just the way things are. Not everyone wants to accept that vampires and werewolves are enemies, and that's how The Fairchild Academy was created in the forests of South Carolina. The academy was recently founded by Gloria Fairchild, who is a human that grew up knowing of the existence of the two species. Her vision is of vampires, werewolves, and humans living side-by-side. The academy is mostly made up of vampires and werewolves, though there are also humans.

The human students don't know that they are living with the vamps and wolves, though their parents were alerted. The vampires don't know that there are werewolves, and vice versa. Headmistress Fairchild plans to reveal the big secret on graduation day, to show the students that their kinds can live peacefully. But nothing ever goes according to plan, especially for the two species that are joined by night.
