On a Mission {{Open}}

Katherine could hear the music blasting from Pandemonium as she waited in line. Pandemonium was her favorite place on earth and the only place she would even remotely party anymore. The line was slow and sluggish and she wondered if she would ever get in. She had been told that a Demon would be here and that it was her mission to kill it before it killed any mundanes and she almost said not except she didn't have a choice. She wore a black medieval like dress that was tight and showed off way more cleavage than needed but that was all part of the plan. Her hair was kept down and there were blue streaks were gone leaving the plain brown hair dangling there covering her shoulders and neck. She wore a block Gothic choker that had a cross hanging from it. She was wearing blue contacts which made her neon green eyes look more like emeralds than paint. When she finally got to the bouncer she looked up a him and smiled before he let her in. She didn't see the demon at first so it gave her time to relax. She hadn't been clubbing in so long and she really needed to relax. As she made her way onto the dance floor she let the beat take her over as she danced.

Jacob had been in Pandermonium for a while, he didn't know how long just that he was there. He knew someone was hunting a demon here but he didn't ask who he merely just pretended he didn't care, but he did. Moving onto the dance floor wasn't something new to him at all, he liked clubbing...for the women at least. Seeing a girl in a different looking dress he walked up behind her, leaning down he smirked softly.

"Need a friend?" he purred in her ear, he was always told he was a ladies man, a flirt, too attractive for his own good and a few other things that most women didn't need to know, "Or maybe, you need a dancing partner for the night?". His faded brown leather jacket brushed again her slightly, his normal clothes of a tight black shirt, brown army boots and jeans were in place. His most loved faded brown leather jacket was very rarely seen without him in it.

Placing hid hands on her forearms lightly he continued to smirk, he could flirt a bit before he would sneak off to find out who was hunting what, he did that sometimes. Flirted with women, got them drinks. Then left, he didn't want to commit to anything it was too much effort.

Katherine felt someone move closer to her as she was danceing and at first paid no attention to it but when the boy spoke she focused. "Since when does a boy like you juts want to be friends?" She said almost sarcastically. She knew who he was even if he didn't know who she was. She may not have been told what was going on at the institute but she still had ears and they worked just fine. People still talked around her even if they didn't talk to her so she knew the boy was Jacob Frost and a Nephlim like her "But a dance Partner would be lovely."

"Sometimes it's good to be invisible evn though you stand out the most" Katherine thought with a smile. The institute had probablly sent him here to help her because they didn't trust her. Who would? She set things on fire for fun and didn't see anything wrong with it. They had all ready albeled her unstable from her parents deaths and her rampage on vampires but the fire just added to their unease and they would take any precautions it took to keep her from loseing it on them.

Katherine wouldn't tell him who, or what, she was. She would leave it to him to figure it out and she hoped evntualy he would or else he would just jepordize her mission. The demon was no where in sight and Katherine was glad for the moment to be normal

Giving a soft laugh at her words he slid his hands from her fore arms and placed them on her waist, Jacob was a flirt but he wasn't too rude around women unless they annoyed him. This girl in his mind was pretty cool, at least she knew how to dance unlike some people.

"Well I like friends, but if they are girls and as beautiful as you are I'd like them with beneffits" he whispered in her ear softly with a light chuckle as he danced with her, looking around he was waiting to the demon. As he danced with her he had a feeling he knew her, maybe she ate the diners he did? Or maybe he passed her on the street alot?. Different ideas were running throuh his mind.

Smirking to himself he dipped his head and kissed her neck gently "Are you here on your own?" he whispered, he just wanted to make sure he wasn't stealing her from her friends or someone else she might be here with.

Katherine smiled and put her own hands over top of Jacob's as he slid them down to her waist. He wasn't half bad a dancer but she did wonder how long it would take him befor ehe realised that He knew Katherine. She had passed him a couple times at the institute but never said anything, she had been in trouble everytime she had seen him and was always furious.


"I think that can be arranged." Katherine said with a sexy little smirk on her lips. She looked around for the demon but didn't see it but she knew that it would be coming along soon. She always completed her missions one way or another. She almost giggled when he kissed her neck but didn't it would give her away in a sense but she wasn't elaborating"I'm here by myself but I'm waiting for someone to show up. If I don't meet them my Superiors will be angry with me, again." Katherine said. The one she was waiting for was the demon, her superiors were whoever was running the institute.

"Still Don't recognize me Jacob?"" She asked playfully. She kenw he wouldn't but she loved to tease. It was just who she was. She made note that the song changed and the way she danced changed along witht he music. The demon would be there soon and she knew it

Jacob frowned lightly as she said his name, now that was new. Most girls didn't know this name. Thinking for a moment he had a feeling she was from the institute but didn't really know. After a moment it clicked and he smirked, "Hmm it's a little hard to not recognize you Katherine. I mean you are beautiful" he said with a smirk.

As the music chaned and her dancing changed he was able to keep up even though he kissed her neck slightly again "Just so you know I'm not here to babysit you...I just came to see whos hunting what" he whispered to her as he traced his left hand up her side slightly before settling his hand back in her waist.

"One, two, three and... Click!" Katherine thought to herself watching as his realisation set in. "I was afraid you forgot about me, they try to." She said with another smirk. People at the institute seemed not to like her much, especially when she set things on fire.

Katherine was glad that Jacob wasn't there to babysit her, as he had put it. She didn't need to deal with a babysitter today. "Thank god your not here to babysit me. I'm hunting a Demon today. He should be here soon." She said her eyes looking over to the entrance and as if on cue the demon walked in. It had electric green and deep purple hair and it was wearing leather and fishnet. She was to far away to notice the eye color but was close enough to tell that it was a Demon.

"The prey has arrived, care to join me?" She asked sweetly. Hunting the demon would be easier if it wasn't just her and if she could distract it long enough, Jacob could kill it for her and she wouldn't have to ruin her dress.

Looking at the enterance he watched the demon walk in with a smirk, he had a little steam to knock off anyway "Sure...and don't worry about the others, they just don't really like people who are too different" Jacob said with a small smirk.

"You draw it away from everyone else" he whispered to her as he took his hands from her waist and slipped into the people and seemed to vannish. He was good at getting away from people without them really realising, getting off the dance floor and away from the people and lights he found a nice place dark enough that people wouldn't see anything but lit enough to make sure they could see what they were doing, leaning against a wall he bowed his head and seemed to blend into the darkness.

Katherine nodded and watched as Jacob slipped off somewhere. She saw where he went to and made her way towards the demon. She didn't say anything as she walked towards the Demon as the demon had already accumulated onto the dancefloor. She danced with it, all the while feeling a little bit disturbed that she was danceing with a demon, but not letting it bug her. After she had gotten it's attention she drew it over to where Jacob was waiting and watched the demon as it stared at her with Hungry eyes.

"Time to die you bastard" She thought as the demon leaned towards her takeing up the space between them. She thought it was going to kiss her and she had enough time to grab her daggers from her boots which she did scretly and holding it in her hand as the demon came closer to her. Her dagger was ready as she watched the space close between them and smiled to herself quietly because the demon had no idea what it was getting itself into.

"Bye" he added cheerfully as he slammed his stele into the things back, a look of pure disgust of the thing washed over his face as it squirmed in his grasp "Hold still" he grunted and looked at Katherine tighening his grip on it he smirked slightly "Get it in the chest" he said.

Katherine smirked deviously as she twirled the dagger in her fingers before slamming it into the demons chest. It made a couple of gurgleing noises before it collapsed on itself and went back to wherever it came from. "I don't know about you but That thing was a little bit to close for comfort to me." She said wiping of the Ichor she had gotten on the tips of her fingers. She didn't like the fact that the demon was so close to her but was glad it was dead. Her dagger lay on the floor and she picked it up and thrust it back into her boot. It didn't touch her but it was a little bit uncomfortable at first.

"One less thing out there to try and kill me." She thought to herself looking back towards Jacob. "Well now that that's out of the way, want to go back to dancing?" She asked lenaing her back up against the wall. She hadn't sone much but for some reason she was a tired. She knew she shouldn't be tired but she was, had the demon gotten some of her energy before they killed it? Impossible. But yet plausable.

Stepping away from the thing as it fell Jacob looked at where it had been for a moment longer before he looked at Katherine and shook his head "You look like you could do with some sleep and not more dancing" he said as he loved up to her looking at his stele he sighed as he slipped it back into its seath he had which protected him from the gunck on it.

Leaning against the wall beside her he looked at the people dancing "I have an apartment not that far from here if your feeling like your going to drop" Jacob said and tirned his head to watch her, he had enough manners to offer her a place to sleep. If she did want to crash at his place she could have his bed and he would take the couch, he was only polite towards women but when it came to guys then the other person got the couch and he got his bed.

She didn't know why she was tired but she had a couple of guesses, especialy since it was getting close to the aniversary of her parents deaths. She always got more tired the closer to their aniversary it became and in her case their aniversary was in a couple of days

"But yeah Crashing sounds nice." She said with a smile. She could use some rest but she did feel a little bit guilty about having to make Jacob go back home early just because she felt tired. She felt even guilyier because she felt like he was going to make her take the bed while he slept on the couch and to her it didn't seem fair
